AVOCADO BOATS

The Avocado Boat was designed to hold an avocado pit and float on top of water, allowing many boats to be placed in one large container and left unattended for long periods of time before needing to refill the water.

The pieces were designed in CAD and 3D printed through several iterations to refine the form and function. A hand-drawn instructional zine accompanies the boats, explaining how to grow your own avocado plant.

The boats were sold during an artist market, and they have been very successful at helping avocado pits sprout. There are now more avocado plants than expected. Would you like to adopt one, or maybe four?
